À±½·ÊÓÆµ is seeking a Applications Specialist to support the continued growth of a medical diagnostics organisation across the Benelux region, with a primary focus on the Netherlands. This position is responsible for promoting and selling laboratory diagnostics, point-of-care testing, and chronic disease management solutions to hospitals, laboratories, and associated healthcare providers. The successful candidate will combine commercial expertise with technical product knowledge to drive market expansion and strengthen customer relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Promote and sell diagnostic products and solutions to achieve and exceed territory sales targets.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, laboratories, hospitals, and other key stakeholders.
- Identify new business opportunities and establish relationships with prospective customers across the assigned territory.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of customer decision-makers, influencers, and purchasing processes.
- Identify, develop, and engage Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to support market awareness and product adoption.
- Deliver product demonstrations, presentations, and training sessions to customers and prospective clients.
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and supporting documentation while participating in contract negotiations where required.
- Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities, competitive activity, and emerging industry trends.
- Coordinate pre-sales and post-sales activities with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Respond promptly to customer enquiries, technical questions, and service-related issues, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Represent the organisation at conferences, exhibitions, workshops, and industry events.
- Prepare technical reports and supporting documentation for tenders, bids, and commercial opportunities.
- Contribute to strategic planning activities to help influence future tender opportunities and market development initiatives.
- Maintain accurate customer records, sales activity reports, forecasts, CRM updates, and expense reports.
- Plan and manage territory travel efficiently while adhering to company policies and budgets.
- Support additional business activities and projects as required.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Medical Technology, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in direct sales within the clinical diagnostics, laboratory diagnostics, or medical device industry.
- Previous experience selling capital equipment within healthcare, laboratory, or diagnostic environments.
- Knowledge of point-of-care testing products and diagnostic instrumentation would be advantageous.
- Experience working with laboratory-based diagnostic solutions is preferred.
- Strong network of contacts within hospitals, clinical laboratories, and reference laboratories.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Fluent Dutch language skills are essential.
- Professional proficiency in English.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the Netherlands and wider Benelux region, including occasional overnight travel.
- Valid driver's licence.
