Digital Plant Lead - Contract - Indianapolis, Hybrid

Are you looking to make an impact with your innovation? We are working alongside a well-established pharmaceutical company to find their next best engineering lead!

À±½·ÊÓÆµ is seeking a Digital Plant Lead to join a dynamic team focused on driving innovation in manufacturing systems and data architecture within the pharmaceutical industry.

Primary Responsibilities:

This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to support the development and implementation of digital plant strategies. The position requires a hybrid work arrangement, with a minimum of two weeks per month in Indiana during the initial six months and one week per month thereafter.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Background in engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Expertise in data strategy and architecture within API or bulk pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Experience in automation within the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in API or drug substance manufacturing.
  • Proven track record in delivering large-scale automation projects in the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Familiarity with Emerson DeltaV Batch DCS, MES systems, and Aveva PI is preferred.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of GMP regulatory requirements and computer system validation (CSV) principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

The Digital Plant Lead's responsibilities will be:

  • Bridge the gap between business technology and data architectures for manufacturing systems.
  • Represent the automation function in digital plant discussions and forums.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the digital strategy plan for the project.
  • Assist in defining the data architecture for the project.
  • Lead data flow mapping activities to ensure seamless integration.
  • Support the delivery of site-level data infrastructure, such as Aveva PI and Logmate.
  • Contribute to the overall automation philosophy and program objectives.
  • Aid in the development of digital plant use cases.
  • Communicate progress, challenges, and requirements to the Automation Project Manager.
  • Provide technical consulting and support as part of the Automation Team.
  • Collaborate with various disciplines and stakeholders to meet project deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with training and regulatory requirements.
