Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will work closely with budgets, payroll, purchasing, and compliance processes, contributing to the financial management of a complex organization. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in accounting, finance, or business who are eager to gain hands-on experience in financial operations within a mission-driven environment.
Skills & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business.
- Experience with payroll systems (e.g., Workday) or general administrative tasks (internships, part-time jobs, or campus roles are applicable).
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to identify and address needs independently.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and accept constructive feedback.
The Financial Coordinator's responsibilities will be:
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and revenue projections.
- Assist in building annual budgets, tracking expenditures, and reallocating funds as needed.
- Manage payroll processes and ensure accuracy in financial and HR transactions.
- Process purchasing requests, maintain organized records, and coordinate with vendors for equipment repairs and price negotiations.
- Develop and maintain spreadsheets and databases to track compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Maintain accurate departmental financial and personnel records.
- Stay updated on policies and procedures to ensure compliance and effective resource management.
- Collaborate with business and financial administrators across the organization.
- Provide support and guidance to faculty, staff, and junior office personnel.
- Report any irregularities to leadership and contribute to performance and development plans.
