Connect rare liver patients to the care they need-when it matters most.
À±½·ÊÓÆµ is seeking a Key Account Manager (KAM) in Leipzig to focus on identifying and supporting patients with rare liver diseases. This role involves building and managing regional networks, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and ensuring therapy initiation for patients. The position requires a proactive approach to patient identification, referral pathways, and fostering relationships with expert centers.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and engage with office-based gastroenterologists and smaller hospitals to locate adult PFIC patients.
- Increase disease awareness and promote diagnostic consideration for PFIC in adult patients.
- Establish and maintain efficient referral pathways to PFIC expert centers.
- Act as a liaison between referring physicians and expert centers to ensure timely and appropriate patient transfers.
- Build trust-based relationships with multidisciplinary teams at expert centers to support therapy evaluation and initiation.
- Drive awareness and urgency for treatment in PBC centers, promoting faster switching for uncontrolled patients from 1st to 2nd line therapy.
- Support the identification of new 2nd line PBC patients and ensure clear referral pathways.
- Develop and manage regional rare liver disease networks, connecting expert centers and organizing targeted networking events.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Commercial, Medical, and Brand teams, to align strategies and activities.
- Provide field insights to refine strategies and ensure compliant execution of all activities.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, ideally in rare diseases or specialty care.
- Familiarity with gastroenterologists and/or hepatologists is strongly preferred.
- Proven expertise in key account management, network management, or customer-facing roles.
- Experience organizing scientific or educational networking events.
- Strong communication, influencing, and collaboration skills.
- High ownership and prioritization abilities, with the capability to work in a complex matrix environment.
- Certified Pharmaceutical Representative qualification.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Good English language skills.
- Willingness to travel, attend events, and participate in overnight stays.
