À±½·ÊÓÆµ is seeking a Post Harvest Lead to manage and optimize post-harvest operations, including drying, trimming, curing, and packaging, within a medicinal cannabis facility. This role focuses on maintaining pharmaceutical-grade standards, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading a team to deliver high-quality products. You will play a key role in developing processes, tracking yields, and collaborating with cultivation and manufacturing teams to enhance efficiency and product quality.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily post-harvest operations, including hang-drying, trimming (hand or machine), curing, quality control inspections, and bulk packaging.
- Ensure pharmaceutical-grade hygiene and environmental controls (temperature, humidity, airflow) in drying and curing rooms.
- Develop, implement, and train staff on standard operating procedures (SOPs) for post-harvest processes in alignment with GACP/GMP standards.
- Lead, schedule, and coach a team of post-harvest technicians and laborers, setting quality standards for trimming and manicuring.
- Track yields, waste, by-products, and batch genealogy while maintaining accurate batch documentation.
- Collaborate with cultivation teams on harvest timing and quality, and with GMP manufacturing teams on product specifications and release readiness.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on trichome retention, moisture targets, mold risk mitigation, and labor efficiency.
- Oversee the cleanliness and readiness of equipment, including trimming tools, drying racks, curing vessels, and packaging gear.
- Support audits, client visits, and site improvement projects as the facility scales.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Hands-on leadership experience within post-harvest operations across medicinal cannabis, horticultural, botanical, or other highly regulated production environments.
- Strong understanding of drying, curing, and trimming methodologies, with knowledge of how processing decisions can impact flower quality and final product outcomes.
- Experience developing, implementing, and delivering training on SOPs, alongside maintaining accurate batch documentation and product traceability records.
- Demonstrated success managing and motivating teams within fast-paced, quality-focused, and compliance-led operational settings.
- Sound knowledge of TGA, GMP, and GACP requirements, or equivalent regulatory frameworks within regulated manufacturing industries.
- Able to work on-site in Collie, WA, with the flexibility to support operations during busy harvest and production periods.
