Lead Packaging Engineer (LPE) - Permanent - NC, US

À±½·ÊÓÆµ is looking for a LPE to drive packaging engineering plan and deliver innovative packaging solutions for combination‑product programs.

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be involved in driving innovation, implementing new standards, and ensuring compliance with regulatory policies. You will lead development activities, coach peers, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within a global organization.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Expertise in packaging engineering, particularly secondary packaging design and development for combination products.
  • Advanced degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in design controls methodology, including risk management and verification activities.
  • Knowledge of CAD tools and simulation software for predictive modeling of packaging performance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Comprehensive understanding of drug development and commercialization processes.
  • Familiarity with SHE, cGMP, and Lean principles.
  • Experience in operations or R&D with successful project leadership in a matrix organization.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders.

The Principal Packaging Engineer's responsibilities will be:

  • Maintain awareness of internal and external developments in packaging engineering.
  • Drive continuous improvement through Lean systems and practices.
  • Coach peers on combination product performance and development.
  • Lead development activities for assigned products or projects.
  • Implement new practices to enhance value and improve standards.
  • Ensure delivery of SHE and cGMP compliance in line with regulatory standards.
  • Develop strategies for platform technology delivery with technical leaders.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing sites with exceptional customer service.
  • Utilize Risk Management to assess situations and escalate opportunities appropriately.
  • Develop solutions to complex problems requiring advanced judgment.
  • Communicate effectively to set clear direction and motivate teams.
  • Embed Lean principles within the team to drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage resources and financial forecasts for assigned products or projects.
