Rare Disease Consultant - Contract - New York

À±½·ÊÓÆµ is seeking a dedicated Rare Diseases Consultant to focus on rare diseases, particularly Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva (FOP).
Primary Responsibilities:
In this role, you will create and execute medical strategies, foster scientific exchange, and build strategic partnerships. This position involves collaboration across teams to ensure the ethical and accurate dissemination of clinical and scientific information.
Skills & Requirements:
- Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, or MD) with expertise in Medical Affairs.
- Experience in rare diseases and product launches.
- Strong understanding of clinical trial execution and scientific exchange.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to deliver strategic insights.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% and attend national and international conferences.
The Rare Disease Consultant's responsibilities will be:
- Provide scientific knowledge in rare diseases, including FOP, and maintain knowledge of emerging therapies and clinical data.
- Communicate complex scientific and clinical information effectively to healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, and stakeholders.
- Build and sustain relationships with advocacy organizations, clinical experts, and decision-makers in the rare disease community.
- Support medical education efforts at conferences, symposia, and advisory boards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align activities and share actionable insights for strategic planning and product development.
- Contribute to the design, oversight, and reporting of post-approval interventional and non-interventional clinical trials.
- Provide insights into healthcare trends, market access, and reimbursement to improve the value and use of products.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company policies in all activities.
- Mentor and support field medical teams and contribute to training programs.
Compensation:
- $150 to $175 per hour.
