À±½·ÊÓÆµ is seeking a Principal Scientist - Upstream Development to our client's team. This role focuses on advancing technology for the analytical characterization of manufacturing processes related to biologics and novel modalities.

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be involved in cell culture, operating bioreactors, and collaborating with leading academics to drive innovation.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, or related field.
  • Experience with bioreactors for therapeutic protein process development and optimization.
  • Strong theoretical background in cell biology and expertise in cell culture and sterile techniques.
  • Proficiency with bioreactor systems, cell culture operations, and PAT; experience with mammalian cell lines and Ambr bioreactors is advantageous.
  • Motivated with strong problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build collaborative relationships.
  • Ability to thrive in a diverse, inclusive, and innovative environment.

The Principal Scientist's responsibilities will be:

  • Conduct research and develop technology for analytical characterization of manufacturing processes.
  • Perform cell culture and aseptic techniques for research-grade cellular products.
  • Operate automated small-scale and bench-top bioreactors.
  • Maintain lab equipment and manage vendor relationships.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop delivery schedules and milestones.
  • Develop user requirements for equipment/systems and support prototype technology evaluations.
  • Train junior scientists in lab operations, procedures, and processes.
  • Foster collaborations with world-leading academics for innovative technology concepts.
